Gobble, Gobble!

We were so happy to get to spend Thanksgiving up in Utah this year! We had a great time hanging out with the family and catching up. These are just a few of the highlights from the trip.

We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend as well. We are so grateful that we could spend our holiday with our family.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy fall to everyone! I love this time of year, especially Thanksgiving. Josh and Amy are hosting Thanksgiving for our family this year - so the Parker's and Bendixen's are taking a road trip to Vegas! It will be a blast to have 8 adults and 5 little boys all in one house for a couple of days. This will be our first 6 hour drive and overnight trip with Maxx...I hope we all survive! But we wouldn't miss being with our family for anything. This Thanksgiving will be hard - it's our first one without Les. We miss her very much.

Maxx is now 15 months old - time flies! He is such a character; learning new things every day. His best trick is blowing kisses (not gently, but loud and forceful) and waving bye-bye. He loves rocks and sticks and they usually end up in his mouth. He also seems to enjoy eating dirt and sand. He doesn't even pick it up - he just puts his face right down on the ground and starts eating. What'd ya do? He loves dogs and little kids or babies. He is a tender boy with a gentle heart, but very strong headed and stubborn (just like his dad)!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Where is the Halloween spirit?

I thought I would see tons of pictures of all the Halloween costumes from this year, but nobody has posted any. It doesn't matter if you are married and considered an "adult." Even Eric and I got festive this year.

30 YEARS!

Yesterday October 14, 2007 was Richard and Jackie's 30th wedding anniversary!

A few weekends ago the whole family was in town so we decided to surprise our parents and celebrate early. We kept it very simple. Christy put together a video of pictures of my parents from the time they met until now. Then we had the top of their wedding cake remade. You can see the picture of the original wedding and wedding cake.

Capitol Reef Getaway

Paul and I (empty nesters) recently took a road trip to Capitol Reef National Park.

We hiked five miles along the Sulphur Creek river bed and the scenery was magnificant! Paul was our tour guide (thus the colorful outfit).

Lunch was next to one of the four waterfalls we scrambled over.

This is my first blogging experience - it's great! Lauren - thanks for getting this started, this will be a great way to keep in touch and hear/see what everyone is doing. Maxx had is first birthday party last weekend, we wish everyone lived closer so we could have shared our cake throwing event!! Josh is starting the job application process to different airlines...so our lives consist mostly of filling out applications and crossing our fingers. Christy - tell me its worth it?!

Baker Weekend!

On behalf of the Baker Girls, we would like to thank everyone for the fun weekend in Utah. We loved seeing all the cousins and the newest additions to the family. I thought you guys would like to see some highlights from the weekend...

This was while Christy was still feeling "under the weather!" She would like to apologize to everyone who heard her "rantings."

We had lots of fun playing with the Baker Boys. I think it was more fun than we expected...

Of course we had to get ice cream from UTAH STATE!

Well I am mostly writing to see how this kind of stuff works. We took talon to get his haircut today and the only way to get him to sit down and hold still is to promise him that he could go sit on the coin horsey!!! Well I will write again take care

Strong Showing

On behalf of my parents, who don't really know what the internet is, let alone a blog, and the rest of the Parkers, THANK YOU. The Grandpa Dick/Meme family showing this last week in SLC was impressive. You're collective and individual presence was a great comfort. I know it had been a very, very long time in seeing some of you, but it was great. I hope we can have some reunions or at least take some trips together in the future. I hope my kids will get to know you and your kids and learn to appreciate strong family ties (and learn what fire-rrhea is; it's not in any medical dictionaries that i have).
